About the Event
Wondering how to keep things growing in this wind-swept desert? Have you been frustrated with daily watering by hand or irrigation systems that fail to perform or need constant maintenance?
With the right irrigation, vegetables, and flowers can thrive, even in our high desert climate. To conserve water, work-around persistent winds, and other benefits that will be discussed, the farm runs primarily on drip irrigation.
TK Kern, Director of Botanical Affairs, will show you how to set up the last irrigation system you will ever install - a drip irrigation system for a variety of contexts, how to maintain a drip system, and discuss how often and how long to irrigate. A list of supplies and where to buy them will be provided
