High Tunnel/Greenhouse Workshop

This workshop will include some hands-on. Time will be split with half being spent going in-depth into designing and building hoop-houses from scratch (not a premade greenhouse kit) for the challenging climate of the high deserts of Utah. Attendees will receive comprehensive details on the parts, vendors, and prices of greenhouse components with a preference for materials easily sourced from a local hardware store.

The other half of the time you will learn how Red Acre Farm grows year-round at nearly 5800 feet with a 60-day growing season despite the high fluctuations in weather conditions and persistent high winds. Soil health will be discussed and attendees will receive comprehensive details on how, what and when to plant and where to buy seeds and plants.
