Compact plants that produce tightly domed 6–8″ heads, well-suited to smaller garden spaces. We grow hybrid broccoli because, in our climate, it's the most reliable way to get full heads — otherwise, plants often produce only side shoots. An A+ producer for us in both spring and fall plantings. We cover with insect netting since cabbage moths seem to love our broccoli even more than we do (they still sneak through, so check the heads for caterpillars before eating, or boil, and they'll float to the top). If you cut the main head just right, the plants will continue to produce tender, edible side shoots.
