What I Do Not Know: Clearly I do not know how to write with confidence and how to create and build a website.
I created and gave birth to a real live human being(15 years ago) in the same amount of time it took me to finish this web site! It is still not the way I want it. Yes, since last August I have had a web designer ,who is one of our share holders for the second year in a row wanting me to “give him input for web site” It is done now, enough that I have to now, blog?
What I Do Not Know: Is the mysterious world of blogging.I read my 29 year old sons friends blog 4 years ago . I did not get it. Then a dear friend started a blog tommymom.com which I read and learned how to make comments. I did and then she insisted on interviewing me .That was March 12th. I have never commented again. But I read another blog she told me about The Pioneer Women. But that’s another story.I do not comment on that blog.My point is I do not know what or how a blog should look or why they call it a blog? Like blah blah blah but blog instead? I do not know etiquette ,whats cool or not, when or how often to write or what you are “supposed” to write about. Nor am I going to take time to find out. Who would read this and who am I writing to? It is what it is….
What I Do Not Know: Is how we as human beings can or try to do so much and how I ever finished the content for the site. I am grateful tommymom. I went into panic mode how could I promote Red Acre Farm and our CSA without a web site? Well instead of the 3 days to get the site done, I had to have it done before the interview. And heaven knows I really tried and thought I could have it done. My web designer threw up something temporary to save me.Almost 6 weeks later with opposition, mid life crises,
Birthday Party for me given by my Kids(not my goats) And My Granddaughters Birthdays.
2 major granddaughters birthday parties that we ( Lynn Sara and myself) personally did and drove 3 hours each away.
While gone losing a dozen of our laying hens. But that is another story. Then Easter out of town and and out of town conference.There were plans for the garden to be made, seeds and plants to be ordered and planted ,a green house built, the land readied, animals to feed and care for and share holders to be found. And you still have to eat ,sleep ,dress, shower and do laundry.Well you have to eat anyway.I went into hiding. Over the past 2 weeks.No phone, texting, email or socializing. Only working on this web site night and day.I did not do anything unless it was something that pertained to Share holders or the farm.Sara enforced this with fervor.The finale was Monday .When one of my best friends saved me after helping for hours on and off over the past few weeks, yes she is skilled. She has a Face Book page, blogs and types with all her fingers and does not even look at them! Stayed with me until 2 a.m. over 12 hours until EVERYTHING and page was DONE! Then she paid me for a full share! Ok she might be skilled and generous but not bright. Sorry to everyone I have not but would like to have given attention to.
What I Do Know:I am in love. And so is Sara, my 15 year old daughter,( Lynn always has been)
more and more every day with our land, this community and the people we meet. And with the idea of learning more about and growing, raising and finding resources for healthy fresh food for my family and others in the community.I/we want to inspire others to do the same. I love people and can not wait to see who those 10 share holders will be this season.
What I Do Know : Sara is sure we are meant to do this. I do not doubt her.Miracles have happened in our behalf to make this a reality That’s another story. The support we have received from friends is overwhelming.
What I Do Know: We have baby chicks and a bunny in the green house.We have goats. Our Billy goat is actually handsome! We have raised another healthy pig that is ready to fulfill his purpose here on earth.We have a brood of hens, roosters, ducks, turkeys and a goose.
Our plot of land has been tilled and fertilized with local sheep manure. The 85 foot rows are done.It is beautiful!
The seedlings Sara stayed up until 2 a.m. planting one night are all coming up.

The garden has spring seeds planted: peas, lettuce, carrots, beets, onions, rhubarb are the ones I can remember. I do not get to plant.That is why I am doing this. Remember as unqualified as I am I am doing this.I am the brains and labor on the back end.
Lynn is the brains and the labor out side.
Sara the inspiration and alot of labor too. All of it ,every aspect brings myself and our family joy.Real Joy
What I Do Know: Is if this Farm, this site and blog will inspire people to be a share holder in our CSA ,eat better and or get an education about what they are eating , where and how it is grown and the importance of having freedom to choose what they eat and how it is grown and sold, then no matter how far out of my comfort zone it is I will do it!
